4 Of The Hottest Upcoming Air Jordan 4 Releases

June 5, 2023

The Jordan 4 is, without a doubt, one of Nike’s most iconic. The first ever pair was released in 1989, designed by Tinker Hatfield, who also designed several other models in the Air Jordan series. The Air Jordan 4 introduced multiple new features to the Jordan line, including mesh panels and “wings” for improved breathability and a more customizable fit. Both the remainder of 2023 and 2024 are set to be exciting times for Jordan 4 fans, especially the latter which marks the 35th anniversary of the first J4 release. Here are our most hyped releases…

Jordan 4 SE Craft “Medium Olive”

In February, Jordan introduced us to the Air Jordan 4 Craft in “Photon Dust”, a sneaker that proved relatively popular. Well, the brand is now preparing to extend its Air Jordan 4 “Craft” series with a “Medium Olive” variant. This upcoming release, which many have noted bears similarities to Travis Scott’s AJ4 samples, presents a mix of military-inspired green shades across various materials. The pair combines high-quality suede, luxurious leather, and resilient textile.

Black details provide contrast, appearing on the support wings, heel tab, interior lining, and sections of the robust sole unit. Meanwhile, the shoe boasts the “Pale Vanilla” Jumpman logos on the heel and tongue, presenting a delicate contrast to the dominant green tones. Finally, the white midsole contributes to a refined, balanced finish to the color scheme whilst the design also features a soft quilted base and added rubber elements.

Currently, Nike has made no official statement about the release but rumors suggest the Air Jordan 4 Craft “Medium Olive” will launch on December 2nd, priced at $210 USD.

Jordan 4 “Military Blue”

Next up is one of the most popular J4 colorways of all time – military blue. Next year will mark 25 years since the first time this iconic sneaker was released and thus rumors have been flying that we will see a re-release. The last time we saw this colorway was in 2012, with that pair now fetching around $400 on the secondary market.

As for the design itself, it features an elegant color combination of white, grey, and of course, a distinctive “Military Blue.” The design primarily incorporates white leather for the upper, contributing to the shoe’s sleek and polished exterior. In contrast, the vibrant “Military Blue” is applied to the mesh components of the sides and tongue, as well as the lining and outsole. This addition offers a stark contrast to the shoe’s predominantly white leather structure. Further adding to the design’s complexity is a neutral grey shade that graces the iconic “wings,” which are responsible for lace security, and specific sections of the midsole. As for the heel, well it unsurprisingly dons the classic Jumpman logo, adhering to the “Military Blue” theme.

As mentioned, a re-release date has yet to be officially confirmed, but many expect the Air Jordan 4 ‘Military Blue’ to make a comeback to the SNKRS app sometime in summer 2024 and will likely be one of the best drops all year! Air Jordan 4 WMNS Sail

Back in 2020, Off-White collaborated with Nike to bring the Air Jordan 4 WMNS “Sail” to the market. Instantly, it became a staple among resellers, where they often fetched prices in the thousands of dollars range. This was fueled by the sneaker’s minimalistic yet distinct design, along with its status as a women’s exclusive and its association with the Off-White brand. Now, Nike is set to release a similar-looking shoe, albeit without Off-White. Most mockup images suggest the pair will don a tonal hue throughout the shoe, with gold accents on the tongue’s Jumpman logo and inside the midsole’s Air unit.

Right now it appears that this pair will come out sometime during Spring 2024 at select Jordan Brand retailers and Nike.com (SNKRS) for the retail price of $200. Whilst it may not feature the iconic Off-White branding the first pair did, this one is sure to be a hit and sell out quickly.

Air Jordan 4 Red Cement

Another standout among these releases is the Air Jordan 4 ‘Red Cement’. This pair offers an interesting twist on the beloved ‘White Cement’ colorway. It retains several design attributes of the original, including the distinctive speckle pattern adorning the eyelet wing flaps and midsole – a signature characteristic of the ‘Cement’ series. However, the traditional ‘Cement Grey’ hue is replaced with a striking ‘Fire Red’ on the midsole, Support Wings, and heel tab. Of course, it also features many traditional Air Jordan 4 elements, such as white leather, matching accents, and hints of black.

Originally scheduled to release on August 12th, “Red Cement” has now been pushed back to September 9th.
