Job Responsibilities
– Handling all of the following email marketing-related responsibilities.
– Designing emails using Stripo and writing the copy of the emails.
– Scheduling email campaigns and setting up email automation based on business objectives.
– Working alongside our email designer and copywriter to create well-thought-out emails.
– Setting up proper email authentication practices to improve email deliverability and security.
– Writing and adjusting the copy and designs of emails to optimize for conversions or clarity.
– Working with our website developer to create and optimize funnels/landing pages for campaigns.
– Cleaning and organizing email lists to ensure we only send campaigns to relevant and valid emails.
– Warming and creating email inboxes to ensure our sender reputation remains as high as possible.
– A/B testing small subsets of email lists before scaling email campaigns.
– Monitoring campaign performance and adjusting campaigns based on ORs, CTRs, trial sign-ups, and trial conversion rate.
– Work closely with other marketeers and the CEO to ensure email campaigns are inline with our broader brand and growth strategies.
– Creating email automations for key user or customer funnel events (user churn, trial signup, etc).
Required Qualifications
– 2 years of experience as an email marketer handling promotional campaigns.
– Experience with at least 1 of the following sending tools: Mailchimp, SendGrid, Sendy, Mailmodo, Constant Contact, Campaign Monitor, HubSpot, Marketo, or any other reputable email-sending software.
– Experience with a deliverability testing tool (for example but not limited to Litmus, Return Path, GlockApps, etc).
– Experience with mid to large scale promotional campaigns (10k+ email lists for a singular campaign).
– A good understanding of mail authentication, mail warming, and how to ensure emails are reaching inboxes at scale.
– Experience with SPF (Sender Policy Framework), DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) and DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance).
Preferred Qualifications
– Experience with Stripo or other email design tools.
– Experience with HTML and CSS.
– Experience with Zapier or integrating/creating email APIs.
– Experience with Amazon SES.
– Experience with setting up email list pop-ups or funnels to collect emails.
– Experience with creating and optimizing conversion-focused funnels for promotional emails.
– Experience with sender reputation monitoring tools such as Sender Score or Postmaster.
– Experience with bounce management software such as NeverBounce and ZeroBounce.
– Experience with email automation tools such as ActiveCampaign, Pardot, Marketo, etc.
– Knowledge or experience with email marketing compliance and privacy.
– Previous experience starting a business or experience working at smaller companies/startups.
– Bachelors or Masters in digital marketing, consumer behavior, public relations, or equivalent experience.
– Knowledge, or interest in sports betting, trading, reselling, or e-commerce.
