Job Responsibilities
– Handling all of the following social media video editing and creation-related responsibilities.
– Creating, editing, and publishing short-form video social media for Valiant clients and Juiced.
– Video scripting and planning for each unique piece of content.
– Curating clips and audio effects to use in the videos.
– Using the clips and the recordings/voice-overs, edit the video together.
– Writing captions for videos and publishing the videos you’ve created to the client’s social media channels via Loomly.
– Coordinating with other video editors and clients to ensure we are achieving the results required.
Required Qualifications
– 3 years of experience as a video editor.
– Experience creating content for at least 2 of the following social media channels: Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
– Experience with at least 1 of the following editing softwares: Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVanci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or other professional video editing tools.
– A deep understanding of what creatives will generate engagement (views, likes, comments, etc) and ultimately website traffic on social media, especially on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
– Experience with creating short-form video content for social media.
– Proven track record of getting companies’ social media engagement and growing pages on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and other vertical social media platforms.
– A deep understanding of how the algorithm works and how to increase viewer retention.
– Must be fluent in English and capable of writing or adjusting scripts, captions, etc.
Nice To Have Qualifications
– Experience with motion graphics and animation tools such as Adobe After Effects, Blender, and Cinema 4D.
– Experience with audio editing software (Adobe Audition, Audacity, etc).
– Experience with image editing and graphic design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Canva, etc).
– Experience with scripting and storyboarding tools including Final Draft, Celtx, StoryBoard That, and other similar tools.
– Experience with social media management and analytics tools such as Loomly, Buffer, Hootsuite, and Sprout Social,.
– Experience with stock footage and music libraries, or any experience with finding clips / footage to use in videos.
– Previous experience starting a business or experience working at smaller companies/startups.
– Bachelors or Masters in digital marketing, consumer behavior, public relations, or equivalent experience.
– Knowledge, or interest in sports betting, trading, reselling, or e-commerce.
