Welcome to Juiced’s Flip Of The Week for the week of August 1st -6th 2023. In this series of articles, we reveal our favourite (not necessarily the most profitable) product of the week each Sunday, allowing you to get a sneak peek of the rewards reaped by Juiced members. This week we feature a print of one of the world’s most famous artists from Obey Giant.

Obey Giant is a street art campaign by artist and graphic designer Shepard Fairey. The campaign started with an image of professional wrestler André the Giant and has since evolved into a worldwide street art movement. Fairey created the “André the Giant Has a Posse” sticker while attending the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). He later refined the image, creating the iconic “Obey Giant” design. The artwork often contains the word “OBEY,” and the imagery has been used to encourage people to question their surroundings and the control and influence of media, advertising, and government. These days, Obey Giant produces a large number of clothing items and prints/posters. It is the latter that we will be talking about here today.

Last Thursday, Juiced members were informed of a print from Obey Giant depicting the legendary Andy Warhol (seen above). Obey Giant has recently been producing many prints of famous people and the style of this Warhol one meant it was always going to be popular. The print, which had two different variants, was limited to only 300 copies and retailed for $80. However, members that were smart enough to follow the lead given to them and were quick enough scored a huge profit. The Obey Giant Andy Warhol prints have already seen numerous sales on eBay anywhere from $300-$400, marking a huge return on investment.
