Nike and CLOT, a Hong Kong-based streetwear brand, have had a long-standing partnership which has seen them produce many unique pieces. Last week, they teamed up again to release a dunk coined the “What The”. Additionally, a third company joined the collaboration this time, namely Chinese/ Hong Kong-based trading card company KakaWow.

The “What The” Dunk is rumoured to be the last collab between Nike and CLOT, so you already know they were going to go out with a bang. Additionally, the pair also celebrates CLOT’s 20th birthday. The pair is a homage to many previously released collaborations between Nike and CLOT including the Air Jordan 13 Low ‘Sepia Stone,’ and the Dunk High ‘Flux’. With the “What The” Dunk, the left and right shoe each featured a different colour pallet with one adopting a blue-black tone and the other a much brighter orange-red look. However, that was not the only special thing about this pair of Dunks. Not only did each pair feature extra laces and a special edition box, but they also came with special edition trading cards from Kakawow. This card collection features 17 base cards, 4 parallel cards and lastly, two autograph cards by Edison Chen himself, the co-founder of CLOT.

As you can probably tell, all of this led to a highly sought-after pair of sneakers. As such, they were only released via online raffle and in select stores. Thankfully, Juiced members were informed as soon as the raffle went live and were also informed of the in-store locations. Retailing at $150, a pair of “What The” Dunks now goes for over $450 on platforms such as StockX. This leaves a cool $300 profit for members who were lucky enough to cop.
